Unboxing and Inspection
Upon receiving your SecuX V20 Hardware Wallet, ensure the packaging is intact and hasn't been tampered with. Verify that all included components are present.
Check for any instructional leaflets or cards included in the packaging.
Charging Your SecuX V20
Before starting the setup process, make sure your SecuX V20 is sufficiently charged. Use the provided USB cable to connect it to a power source such as a computer or USB charger.
Allow the device to charge until it reaches full capacity.
Turning On Your SecuX V20
Press and hold the power button on the SecuX V20 until the device powers on. This may take a few seconds.
Follow any on-screen instructions or prompts to select your preferred language and confirm settings.
Initial Setup
Upon first powering on the SecuX V20, you will be prompted to initialize the device.
Select "Create New Wallet" or similar option to begin setting up a new wallet.
Generate Recovery Seed
The SecuX V20 will generate a recovery seed (typically 12 or 24 words) that serves as a backup in case your device is lost, stolen, or damaged.
Write down the recovery seed on the provided recovery card. Ensure this is done offline and in a secure location, as this is crucial for wallet recovery.
Confirm Recovery Seed
After writing down the recovery seed, you will likely be prompted to confirm it by entering the words in the correct order. This step ensures you have accurately recorded your seed phrase.
Set PIN
Create a PIN code for your SecuX V20. This PIN will be used to unlock the device and authorize transactions.
Choose a PIN that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess. Avoid using easily identifiable combinations such as birthdays or sequential numbers.
Connect to SecuX Wallet App
Download and install the SecuX Wallet app on your computer or mobile device from the official SecuX website or app store.
Open the SecuX Wallet app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your SecuX V20 Hardware Wallet via USB or Bluetooth, depending on your device model.
Finalize Setup
Complete any additional setup steps provided by the SecuX Wallet app, such as firmware updates or additional security configurations.
Once setup is complete, your SecuX V20 Hardware Wallet is ready to use for securely storing and managing your cryptocurrencies.
